Have you ever woken up with a lack of energy? Ever felt fatigue or just simply weren’t in the mood to do much of anything?
If you have, then no worries! It’s just a sign that you’re human and may suffer from a lack of productivity because you believe you’re incapable or don’t follow a daily plan.
Lazy days happen every once in a while, goal friends.
We’ve all experienced those instances when procrastination gets the upper hand. I still remember staring at my to-do list for hours and not checking off a single task listed for the day.
Sometimes the productivity hacks and time management strategies that we swear by don’t always come through in the clutch like we need them to.
I’m a firm believer in carving out time in the morning to set the tone for a productive day, and I do so by reciting daily affirmations.
You can also write several daily affirmations for productivity in the morning or evening while journaling, or say them aloud when you meditate.
Another way to practice daily affirmations is to record yourself repeating them so you can listen to your voice and state them while you’re on the go.
Another way to use daily affirmations to boost productivity is to select a handful of relevant ones to focus on for the week. Repeat each affirmation to yourself while looking in the mirror to visualize and concentrate on the desires of your heart.
The more we envision the type of person we’d like to become and reaffirm who we are by speaking it into existence, the more our aspirations will come to fruition.
With practice, this can improve our outlook on life. When faced with opposition, or adversity, we’ll be more apt to resolve our issues with optimism.
We should never underestimate the power of the tongue and mind. We manifest what we want in life by aligning our thoughts, behaviors, and actions with our words.
This trains the subconscious mind to sync with our daily routines and motivates us to engage in activities and behaviors that will carry out what we already believe.
What are daily affirmations?
Daily affirmations are positive thoughts written or recited orally to convince our subconscious of something to be true, with the intent that our actions may follow.
According to Positive Psychology, daily affirmations are positive phrases or statements used to challenge negative or unhelpful thoughts.
What is a powerful affirmation?
An affirmation can only be as powerful as the belief and determination we put behind the words that we speak.
Take affirmations for confidence, for example, stating “I am worthy” and “I am enough” aloud mean nothing if we don’t actually believe what we say.
Powerful affirmations require faith and action steps that we must follow.
Reciting affirmations for success won’t help us achieve our goals if our behavior and attitude don’t align with the positive statements we have spoken.
“I won’t allow bad influences to dissuade me from my purpose.” If I spoke this positive affirmation every morning, but indulged in my vices and hung around slothful people every day, then what I’ve said is untrue.
Only you can determine how powerful your affirmations will be.
What is an affirmation example?
Affirmations should be bold statements that include strong adjectives or action verbs that describe who you are or the person you’d like to become. They should be simple, straight to the point, and positive.
An example of affirmations for taking action is ‘I do not discourage easily and will overcome any obstacles in my way’.
An affirmation example of super productivity is ‘I am disciplined and fully capable of meeting deadlines I’ve set for my goals’.
Affirmations don’t have to be elaborate, long statements. ‘I am focused’ is short yet positive and firm. This is an affirmation example, too.
If your goal is to get more stuff done in a day, give these daily affirmations for productivity a try!
